Which is why the front of all VDO Oceanline/Severe Duty instruments is hermetically sealed, corrosion-free and fitted with anti-fog double lenses in shock-resistant plastic. Distracting reflections during reading are practically eliminated, fogging is reliably prevented and resistance to seawater is guaranteed.
The domed design ensures that water flows off quickly when instruments are mounted horizontally. The attractive dials are backlit using transmitted light technology. Not only does it look good, it also delivers optimum readability both in the daytime and at night. Compliance with EC regulations is a given, as you would expect from VDO. The latest generation of VDO Ocean Line equipment is also compatible with previous series, thanks to tried and tested basic components. Even the front panels and bezels can be interchanged. Easy installation makes the VDO Oceanline/Severe Duty the perfect range for hassle-free retrofitting.
